For the first time since 2012, we can finally look forward to new Gossip Girl episodes again.

The HBO Max spinoff picks up nine years after the original CW series and brings us back into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite, and this time, the all-knowing Gossip Girl has upgraded from a blog to a Deuxmoi-like Instagram page. In the sociopolitical climate of 2021, our new group of rich teens acknowledge their privilege, but that doesn't mean they're above manipulation and scheming.

"The difference here is that while these characters are aware of their privilege, never did I say that they didn't abuse it," new and original Gossip Girl creator Joshua Safran told BAZAAR.com. "They still abuse it. They still use it for nefarious purposes. They're just aware of it."

Now that the series has begun streaming, old and new fans alike are finally getting a taste of the world of Gossip Girl 2.0. Here's how to keep following along as the dramatic teen saga unfolds.

Part 2 promises almost too much drama.

Zoya and Julien going head-to-head, Aki, Audrey, and Max embracing their unconventional relationship, and Monet de Haan making a much anticipated comeback are all teased in the new trailer for the second half of Season 1. New episodes return this Thanksgiving — the most revered holiday in the Gossip Girl universe.

For one night only, the premiere episode also aired on The CW, Gossip Girl's original network, on Friday July 9 from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. Then the episode will be available to stream on The CW's free streaming platforms, Variety reports. However, it looks like the channel won't air any other future episodes.
