Gordon Ramsay spoke highly of Princess Diana in last night's episode of Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek!, a series that follows Ramsay and fellow food and hospitality experts Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix as they travel Greece for culinary excursions. When speaking of the best meals they've ever cooked, Gordon reminisced about the royal family.

After eating moussaka—a traditional Greek dish made with eggplant, potato, and often ground meat—the three took in the breathtaking Santorini sunset. This is when D'Acampo asked the group about the best meal they've ever had or ever cooked and Ramsay promptly knew his answer.

"Man, I think cooking for Lady Di once," he said. And when D'Acampo asked if she was nice Ramsay said: "Oh, beautiful," comparing her beauty to that of the famous Greek island itself.

"I mean, here is renowned as the supermodel of the islets—Santorini—and she, by far, was one the most gracious members of the royal family I’ve ever met," he said.

Although Ramsay didn't go into detail during this episode, he said in a 2016 interview he remembers Princess Diana eating his pressed leek terrine and sea bass for the main dish. As we know, the royal family has to follow several particular rules when it comes to how they enjoy their food and their table etiquette, so it's refreshing to know these interactions can be fond for the cooks as well.
