Gordon Ramsay Is Getting Slammed For How He Treated Sofia Vergara In This Resurfaced Interview
Gordon Ramsay started 2019 off on a happy note, but one week in, ghosts from years past have already come back to haunt him. A 2010 interview from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno just resurfaced, and in it, Gordon shares the talk show stage with actress Sofia Vergara. The 10-minute clip gets more cringe-worthy every minute, and Gordon has come under fire for his inappropriate, sexual innuendo-laden words and behavior.
The segment starts with a skit of Sofia yelling at Jay and Gordon for the disgusting food she's been served. When she comes out on stage for her real interview, she jokes that she never yells like that in real life, to which Gordon quips, "Only in the bedroom?" (Strike one.) He touched her arm while saying it, too. (Strike two.)
That's the first time the audience audibly reacts to something one of the two men say throughout the interview.
The next uncomfortable moment comes when Jay shows off the cover of Daily Variety that reads, "If Modern Family wins the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy, Sofia Vergara will run naked down Sunset Blvd.*" The asterisks reads, "Cast member may change without notice." As the trio starts riffing on that idea and Sofia reveals that she can't run because of her bad knees-she'd speed walk, she explains-Gordon mutters, "Knock yourself out." (Strike three).
Then we get into some awkward bikini content. Sofia had sent the show staff some photos from her recent European vacation-one of which featured her and a friend in bikinis. Comments were made, ogling was done. (Strike four.)
After, the photo switches to one of Sofia eating pizza...like most other male and female humans: by the slice. Gordon says, "You seem like you’re enjoying that. You had a whole wedge in your mouth at one time? You haven’t heard of a knife and fork?" (Strike five.)
At this point, Sofia's nonchalant eye rolls turn into full-on harrumphs-more than deservedly so.

The YouTube video, which was posted in June 2018, is racking up comments commiserating with Sofia and annihilating Gordon. One viewer wrote, "This is just so rude. I can't believe this really happened. I mean wtf not just making sexual jokes and teasing her but also slapping and touching her ? All the talked about was her body. So desrespectful ugh."

Gordon Ramsey kept on touching Sophia. Can’t u see how uncomfortable she was when she was around him. Look at her body language. She was sitting on the other side of the sofa, with her back toward him, trying to be as far away from him as possible. But Gordon Ramsey just couldn’t get the cue. He hit her mid thigh out of nowhere and impulsively sat closely next to her in her sofa. And this whole thing happened right in front of everyone. I can’t imagine what other harassment Sophia has to deal with on a daily basis. Sophia is so beautiful and sexy and I’m glad she’s also strong and smart enough to protect herself from being taken advantage of.
