'Good Witch' Is Officially Coming Back for a Seventh Season
The season 6 finale of Good Witch aired on July 5 on Hallmark Channel.

After Hearties received good news about the fate of When Calls the Heart, Goodies started to wonder if Good Witch would be picked up for a seventh season.
Goodies, it sure felt good to be back in Middleton. And while some fans are still recovering from Grace Russell's emotional exit at the end of season 5, the sixth season made it clear that the show can — and must — go on. With that being said, the season 6 finale came and went, leaving fans to worry if Good Witch is coming back for season 7.
Good news, Goodies: Hallmark Channel just confirmed that Good Witch is returning for a seventh season. "On the heels of its recently concluded successful sixth season, Good Witch has been greenlit for season 7," the network wrote in a press release. The show, which returned for season 6 on May 6, had impressive ratings throughout: The premiere episode had 2.9 million viewers, helping make Hallmark Channel the #1-rated entertainment cable network over the weekend among Households, Women 18+.
When is the Good Witch season 7 premiere date?
While the season 7 premiere date is still up in the air, it's likely that Good Witch will return in summer 2021. But it is important to remember that we're currently living in uncertain times, so there's a strong chance that filming will be delayed or interrupted.
What will season 7 be about?
Storyline details are also up in the air, but it's safe to say that the seventh season will pick up right where the season 6 finale left off. Now that Goodies know that the curse has been broken, it's safe to assume that the upcoming season will have a wedding, budding romance, or reconciliation of sorts. Maybe Adam and Stephanie will get back together? Or Joy and Carter will see each other in a different light? There are so many possibilities.
Will there be a Good Witch Halloween movie this year?
Hate to break it to you, but there's a slim chance that we'll be returning to Middleton before next summer. Catherine Bell, who plays Cassie Nightingale, told Media Village that the cast originally planned to shoot another Good Witch Halloween movie in August, but it'll likely be impacted by the current health crisis. "Those first two episodes air as the movie, hopefully we'll all be back at work soon. They're currently writing it, so hopefully, we'll be back in Toronto then — fingers crossed," she said. Hallmark, however, didn't include a Good Witch Halloween movie in their Fall Harvest schedule, which makes it seem like the movie is no longer happening. Only time will tell.
