Labor Day is dedicated to honoring millions of hardworking Americans. Celebrated on the first Monday of every September since 1887, Labor Day is known as the last holiday of the summer before back-to-school season officially kicks off. Whether you’re planning to host a BBQ with hot dogs and festive cocktails or you’re ready to start shopping for school supplies, you can rest assured that Walmart will remain open on September 2.

On Labor Day, most Walmarts will be operating normal business hours. Of course, these hours also depend on where you live in the United States, which means the superstore will either be open 24 hours, or from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. But just to double-check the opening and closing times of the nearest Walmart, use the Store Finder. And if you prefer to speak with a superstore employee, you can also call the listed phone number.

As with other federal holidays, Labor Day is one of the best times to shop for larger items like appliances, mattresses, and televisions, so even if you’re not running out to grab last-minute items, you’re bound to find a great deal at Walmart.
