Good American Drops Varsity-Inspired Collection

Good American is gearing up for back-to-school season in collegiate style.

Last week, the Los Angeles-based premium denim brand—co-founded by Khloé Kardashian and Emma Grede—released a varsity-inspired collection featuring crewnecks, rugby shirts, shackets and more. Keeping college students in mind, the collection is meant to keep wearers cozy, chic and looking best in class, according to the B Corp-certified brand.

Notable pieces in the collection include a gray fleece corset, “body-hugging” black skinny jeans and an array of sweatshirts with cities like New York, London and Atlanta written across the front.

The Varsity collection retails for $49-$179 with sizes ranging from 00-32 plus for corduroy pants and jeans and XS-5XL for tops and sweatpants. It’s available now on Good American’s website.

In addition to the collection, Good American’s Good Inc. program, which provides mentorship opportunities for underrepresented and emerging talent, announced its partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund to provide two up-and-coming designers with a $10,000 grant each. The winners will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Good American and bring a piece of their collection to life.

To apply, class of 2022 alumni and class of 2023 scholars in the Fashion Scholarship Fund’s program must submit a digital portfolio of eight to 10 size-inclusive pieces. Submissions are open through Sept. 14. Winners will be announced on Sept. 27.

The Good Inc. program previously collaborated with artist, creative director and freelance stylist Prentis to bring handprinted denim to Good American’s audience. It also worked with The B Project founded by music executive Caroline “Baroline” Diaz. The clothing line featured empowering slogans on items such as sweatshirts.
