Good afternoon to George Clooney's big gray beard, and George Clooney's big gray beard only. Well, that's not entirely true. Also on our list of afternoon greetings: movie star George Clooney; Nespresso pitchman George Clooney; George Clooney's perfectly cut charcoal suit; George Clooney's crisp white button up; George Clooney's decision to go tieless, and open-collared at the neck; George Clooney's extremely sturdy black derbies; and good afternoon, finally, to whatever ex-Mossad-turned-private-Clooney-security-in-civilian-dress is lingering in the background of this paparazzi photo. Good afternoon to you all, but mostly to Clooney's beard.

This isn't the first time we've seen Clooney so aggressively bearded—this one calls to mind the fuzz he had for Syriana. But that was nearly 15 years ago, and for a role. Now, Clooney's just...out here, shooting a Nespresso commercial, absolutely drenched in facial hair. He looks happy—there's just a trace of smirk, of the classic Clooney prankster, in his eye. The suit helps. But—again—this is just phenomenal beard work. Good stuff, George.
