Golden Retriever's Pure Joy While Playing in Stream Is a Breath of Fresh Air

Taking our dogs on long walks and hikes is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend an afternoon, and getting to see dogs having fun in nature is simply the best.

If you're ready for your dopamine hit of the day, just check out this beautiful dog having the best time playing in a spring while on a hike.

This sweet video was shared by the TikTok account for @T_agopi and there's pretty much nothing better than just seeing a dog be a dog. So many times when we see social media posts it's either a dog in a costume or performing in some way but I'll admit, my favorite videos of dogs are just them being the lovable, goofy, derps they are and living their best lives.

TikTok users agree and one person said, "This might be what life’s all about." Another added, "I love that he is allowed to just be and enjoy." Someone else said, "Doesn't get much better. Used to take mine hiking with me through the Appalachian mountains when he was younger. He can't do it any longer due to age but those were the best times. We go for rides now." Awwww! Someone else said something I think a lot of us can agree with, "Our dogs are actual angels." So true.

If you plan on enjoying the great outdoors with your own pup this summer, here are a few helpful tips to remember.

Tips To Make The Most Out Of Your Dog Hikes

You should always keep your dog on a leash, even if they know to come and stay, because you never know when they may decide to take off after a small animal and end up going somewhere they shouldn't or falling off a trail. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Charge your cell phone and let your friends or family know where you plan on hiking and a rough estimate on when you should return.

Make sure you practice good dog walking etiquette by bringing with waste disposal bags for your pup, and disposing of them in trash cans.

Allow your dog to sniff things while on their walks, because this is one of the ways that dogs explore the world, but make sure your dog doesn't eat anything they find on the trail.

Remember that dogs get thirsty too, so bring along with a collapsable water bowl and some water for your pup. A lot of parks, especially dog parks, have watering stations for pets but it's better to be safe than sorry.

When walking at night, make sure you and your dog both wear something reflective like a leash or harness for them and a jacket for you, so cars can see you in the dark.

If the weather is bad, consider a sweater or raincoat to keep your pup warm and dry.

If your dog needs some pointers for walking on a leash, here are some great tips here for getting your dog familiar with going on a walk.
