Golden Retriever Rescue in Ohio Makes Desperate Plea for Fosters

Golden Retrievers In Need Rescue in Ohio has made a desperate plea to help find foster homes for the dogs in their care.

In order to take in more Golden Retrievers, the rescue urgently needs families to step up to foster a dog. The rescue group pays for all medical care for the dog; you just have to provide a loving temporary home.

The good thing about fostering is if you fall in love with the dog, you are first in line to be able to adopt them. This rescue does great work, and it would mean so much to them to have more foster homes set up for the holiday season.

If you’re located in Ohio or western Pennsylvania, then you are eligible to foster or adopt from Golden Retrievers In Need Rescue. These dogs are all adorable and adoptable! There’s nothing quite like love from a Golden Retriever.

Benefits of Fostering

Fostering a dog is an incredibly rewarding experience. You’re essentially opening up your home to them for at least a little while until they find the perfect forever home. You’ll give them a place to lay their head, and they’ll give you all the love in the world.

Fostering can be difficult in case the dog isn’t trained well, but there’s no time but the present to help improve their new skills for their new home. Some dogs just need potty training and basic obedience, while others can be trained to do tricks and other special things.

Fostering a dog is a lot of fun especially if you have other dogs for them to play with. Your house will turn into a play-yard for the dogs, who will run after one another for toys and snuggle together at night. It’s even rewarding for the present dogs, for they get to teach the other dog all about their new temporary home.

Fostering dogs is also incredibly rewarding because you’re able to witness their transformations. Oftentimes, a foster dog is a little shy and skittish when they first come into a new home. By offering up plenty of love and toys, you will see them totally come out of their shell!

To have a foster dog around the holidays is really special, because then that animal won’t be stuck alone at a shelter for the holiday. Together with family and friends is the best place for them to be this holiday season. They’ll probably even get some Christmas dinner to enjoy.
