It’s not every day that a pup can take part in a moment as important as a gender reveal for a new baby. But that is just what Charly the Golden Retriever did—and the photos are priceless.

As she bites into a cake, you can see a bit of blue icing appear. And then, the dog goes in on the cake, eating the frosting and cake pieces on camera. She’s having a great time! And it was all for a great celebration of having a baby boy.

The photos of the dog devouring the cake are just priceless. They are the cherry on top to the already special moment! She bites into the cake and seemingly gets a whole mouthful. The cake is nearly gone when the end of the video comes!

This moment shared with a dog is the best. She doesn’t even know what the cake is for but is so desperate to finish it off! She is absolutely adorable and the photos all do her justice. She looks wired for more sugar at the end of the video.

Charly likely didn’t get to finish the cake, probably because it was all sugar. Sugar in large quantities can cause stomach upset in dogs and shouldn’t be provoked with as much cake as Charly had. Still, she seemed to take it like a champ!

This dog has an insatiable appetite for this cake. She completely digs into the cake with the camera on her, catching each bite and showing off the blue frosting on the inside. She can’t get enough of it! She really enjoyed eating the cake.

This dog is surely down from her sugar high by now, and probably won’t ever have that much sugar again. It was fun while it lasted!
