Golden Retriever Hasn’t Quite Figured Out ‘Lay Down’ Yet but He’s Still a Good Boy
He's doing his best!
Learning to do a new trick can be hard, but one woman's dog is doing his best.
Owner Sarah Prince shared her dog's best attempt at laying down on TikTok, and while he's still struggling to nail it, the effort is clearly there.
"We're still working on the whole lay down thing," Prince wrote in the caption. In the video, a man's voice can be heard saying, "Sit…stay," which the doggo immediately nailed. But when he got to "lay down," Bronx was a bit stumped.
The golden retriever jumped into action, diving into a series of rolls and flips rather than gently lowering to the ground. When he was done with his tricks, he resumed his "sit" and patiently wagged his tail, waiting for approval.
Don't worry—he got it! The man behind the camera said, "Oh…okay, that's a good boy," and gave Bronx his treat.
"I'm pretty sure you said 'break it down,'" one viewer pointed out.
"*Lays down*...*Lays down harder* 😂😂," joked another.
"hes only got sit and YEET so far but we're here for it," another said.
Bronx was just adding "a little razzle-dazzle," as one commenter noted, to his tricks, but another shared that their dog does the same. "We taught her 'roll over' too soon I think so she combines that with lay down everytime and it looks just like this," they explained.
In that case, it sounds like he's doing exactly what was asked of him!
At the request of the commenter, the video was reuploaded with the "I have to show you something…what I do" sound, which was also met with great success.
"Oh my gosh, here from the original and I can't 😂💀" one commenter said.
"The crash sound was at the perfect time! 😂," another laughed.
Speaking for the rest of us, one even said, "listen.. I love your dog.... that is all 😂"
So here's to Bronx, from all of his fans. Looks like an "A" for effort to us.
