The nominees for the upcoming Golden Globes were revealed on Monday, with Natalie Portman earning her fifth career Golden Globe nod. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for Netflix’s “May December.”

Portman is a Golden Globe winner, taking home the statuette for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for “Closer” in 2005 and Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for “Black Swan in 2011. She first walked the Golden Globes red carpet back in 2000 when she was just 18 after earning her first nomination for “Anywhere but Here.”

She’s been one of Hollywood’s “It Girls” since she was just 13, when she made her film debut in 1994’s “Léon: The Professional.” Over the years, she’s channeled classic Hollywood elegance with a playful touch, turned heads in designer frocks ranging from classic to ornate, paired with strappy sandals — Jimmy Choos are a favorite — colorful or metallic pumps, peep-toes, sandals, and more. She also wears plenty of Dior, thanks to a long-running relationship with the courtier as a spokesperson and muse since 2011. She also went vegan that year, so she opts for non-leather shoes and accessories, giving her designer elegance a PETA stamp of approval.

At the “May December” premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, Portman turned heads in a stunning custom Dior strapless embellished tiered dress, a remake of Monsieur Christian Dior’s famous 1949 “Junon” gown. Yet her white silk platform peep-toe sky-high heels, which she revealed to walk Cannes’ iconic red steps, were a statement piece in themselves.

Portman’s iconic Dior Junon gown could’ve been her only red carpet moment of 2023 and it would’ve been enough. Yet the next day, at the “May December” photocall at Cannes, she stunned yet again, this time with classic It-girl cool, in an all-red look Jackie Kennedy Onassis could’ve worn. The Oscar-winner paired simple-yet-bold red slim-strap Jimmy Choo stilettos with an all-red look from Dior: an A-line belted minidress and red blazer casually resting over her shoulders, with large black shades.
