‘Golden Dog Farm’ in Vermont Should Be on Any Dog Lover’s Bucket List

Imagine visiting a place where you are surrounded by Golden Retrievers and the only thing that they want to do is play and cuddle with you! That's exactly what happens at Golden Dog Farm in Vermont, and Good Morning America's Will Reeve was lucky enough to get to go for a visit to report about it...talk about the perfect assignment!

GMA shared the video on Saturday, March 9th. Set on more than 200 acres, it's actually a working farm, but the owners open it up for 'Happy Hour' so that people can come and hang out with the Goldens who call it home. If there's a dog lover's heaven on Earth, this is it.

$75 dollars to spend an hour and a half playing with a bunch of Goldens? Count me in! I think this is an amazing idea and that more people should do it - and not just with Golden Retrievers. Rescues and shelters could do it; people would definitely pay to be surrounded by a bunch of dogs. GMA commenter @Many Pandy shared, "Went in November—worth every penny! It’s an amazing experience for people who love dogs!" @Randi got more than 700 likes when she said, "$75 is cheap for an hour and a half of pure joy!"

More About Golden Dog Farm

Golden Dog Farm is located in Jeffersonville, Vermont and they produce organic maple syrup, honey, fruit, berries, and nuts. In September 2023, Douglas Worple and his wife Becca came up with the idea to share their Goldens with everybody and started offering the Golden Retriever Experience.

Did you know that a group of Golden Retrievers is called a 'happy'? What a fitting name right?! And it makes sense that the couple would call the experience a 'Happy Hour' although you get more than an hour with them!

Not only can you hang out with the dogs while visiting, but you can also tour the farm, too. They offer tours of the bees that make the honey they sell and the orchards of maple trees that the syrup is made from. If you've ever wanted to raise bees, they even have a bee experience that allows you to suit up and find out what it's like to be a beekeeper.

I don't know about you, but this sounds pretty amazing and it's now on my bucket list! I read through lots of comments and there wasn't one negative comment, which made me happy since this is such a feel-good story.

One other thing that you may not know: Will Reeve, the GMA reporter that covered the story is the son of Superman, Christopher Reeve. I didn't realize it until I read through some of the comments and people were pointing out the relationship. Sadly, he was only 11 when his dad passed away, and his mom passed away just two years later. I'm glad to see that he's found the happiness he deserves.
