Leslie Fhima, the 65-year-old runner-up on the inaugural season of ABC's runaway hit The Golden Bachelor, has had a rough few months. Shortly after being dumped by Gerry Turner, who went on to propose to his fiancée, Theresa Nist, Leslie landed in the hospital for an emergency bowel obstruction surgery.

So it comes as a surprise that the former professional dancer has decided to attend Gerry and Theresa's televised wedding, which will be broadcast live on ABC on January 4. “I’m feeling so much better that now I get to go to the wedding,” Leslie said in an Instagram story shared on January 3. “I can’t wait to support Gerry and Theresa in their beautiful day and I know it’s going to be really, really amazing.”

On December 31, Leslie shared that she had spent her 65th birthday in the hospital. “I had a bowel blockage, severe cramping, came into the ER,” she said on her Instagram story, per Screenrant. She called the incident “random”—the result of “scar tissue from an appendectomy I had when I was 18 years old.”

She added, "If you have severe stomach issues, don't wait 12 hours to go to the hospital like I did.”

Several of Leslie's fellow Golden Bachelor contestants will also attend the nuptials, including Susan Noles, the Kris Jenner look-alike who was handpicked by Gerry and Theresa to officiate the ceremony. “The happy couple came up with the idea because we became so close during the show,” Susan exclusively told Glamour. “Gerry’s my buddy and now Teresa is my girlfriend, so why not? I never asked them why, to tell you the truth. But I’m really glad they did.”

On an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that aired on December 2, Theresa said she would invite “every single one” of the women on the show, including Leslie. “I don’t know if she would come,” she said at the time.

Though Leslie may not have the happily-ever-after she dreamed of with Gerry, she's choosing a positive outlook. In an Instagram post on New Year's Eve, she wrote, “This has been an amazing year for me and I count my blessings daily..🙏❤️🙏 Happy 2024!”
