America has absolutely fallen in love with the very first season of The Golden Bachelor this year—in large part due to the star himself, Gerry Turner.

Turner, 72, has captured the hearts of viewers (and contestants!) with his empathetic and caring nature—making this a Bachelor series that has less to do with drama and more to do with real, mature moments.

So, it's no surprise that the sweet leading man we see on screen has plenty of aww-inducing things to say about his family's holiday traditions as well.

“We generally have Christmas celebration[s] at my youngest daughter Angie’s [home]," Turner shares.

And his daughter made sure to get into the holiday spirit—namely, with multiple Christmas trees.

"Last year she had four Christmas trees up,” Turner says. “Each one of the four Christmas trees had just had a plethora of gifts underneath."

Similar to the additional trees that have made up their Christmas celebration, their holiday plans extend beyond just one day as well.

"It’s a very joyous time for us—even though we might not see each other as often as we want through the year, Christmas is something where we kind of make it a three-day holiday, at least," he shares.
