Is there going to be a season 2 of Wellmania on Netflix?

Over the weekend, it's safe to say we developed a brand new obsession, that came in the shape of Netflix's newest series Wellmania.
The eight part series stars comedian Celeste Barber as journalist Liv who goes on a wellness journey in order to get a green card for the United States.
The series only dropped last week (29th March) and yet Netflix viewers have been loving the series, with the show already in the "Top 5" on the streaming platform.
So will there be a second season? This is everything we know so far.
What's Wellmania about?
Wellmania is a drama comedy series on Netflix based on the novel Wellmania: Misadventures in the Search for Wellness by Brigid Delaney.
In the series, food journalist Liv (Celeste Barber) travels home to Australia for the weekend from New York her best friend's birthday.
Before leaving New York she discovers she has been chosen as a judge for a brand new food competition series, but she needs to create a buzz around herself before they can go ahead.
Whilst back in Australia, Liv loses her green card and is unable to travel back into the United States. Upon failing the health check to get another green card, she puts herself on a wellness plan called the "Bondi Cleanse" in an attempt to get herself healthy so she can head back to the US.
Is there going to be a season 2 of Wellmania?
As of yet, there's been no confirmation Wellmania will be getting a season two.
However, that doesn't mean we should give up hope of seeing Liv return. Often Netflix will wait to see how a series is received before renewing it.
What could happen in season 2 of Wellmania?
Until Wellmania gets renewed for a second season we won't know for sure what the season would cover but there's a lot of plot points the series could pick up from the the finale episode for another season.
For starters we'd want to see how Liv and her mother's relationship would develop after it was revealed Lorraine hid Liv's green card from her. Towards the end of the final episode we see Lorraine get rid of Liv's things before she's hit by a van. We later see Gaz and Dalbert at the hospital saying Lorraine was in an accident with no update on what happened.We definitely need answers on if Lorraine is ok. Will the accident put things into perspective for Liv?
We'd also definitely expect a second season to cover the success of Liv's TV show as well as wanting some updates on Amy's health, after she appears to be in pain and taking antibiotics for a UTI during her final scene.
Fingers crossed there's a second season.
