If you were seriously invested in all the Don’t Worry Darling feud drama, we may now have another celeb rift on our hands—as pop star, Christina Aguilera, has reportedly unfollowed Britney Spears on Instagram, after the ‘Oops I Did It Again’ singer was called out for ‘body-shaming’ Christina’s backup dancers in a bizarre post.

This is by no means the first suspected 'feud' between Christina and Britney, but this latest development is a real doozy...if you’ve so far missed what's gone down between the two pop icons, allow us to catch you up to speed.

What is going on with Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears?

It all began when Britney, who recently married her fiancé Sam Ashgari, took to Instagram to share a quote and some unsolicited thoughts on Christina’s backup dancers.

The quote in question was from comic Rodney Dangerfield that read: “I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people”—which in itself is not a body image message that anyone, especially a celebrity with a large following should be advertising.

The singer then went on to caption the post, saying: “I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children… my dancers…I mean if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would have looked extremely small 💃💃💃…I mean why not talk about it ?? Don’t you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, whom I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me!!!

“It’s hard sometimes now I see how much of my womanhood was stripped away at that time and every person sat back and didn’t say a thing !!! Anyways…I will be here talking bout things people NEVER talked about.”

The post and caption sparked outrage from her followers, who called her out for ‘body-shaming’ Christina’s dancers and called for her to delete the post.

One Insta user commented: “This ain’t it,” before another user questioned, “Did you just body-shame the dancers?”

And third wrote, “Offensive in so many ways.”

In response to the viral post, Page Six reported that Christina had unfollowed Britney, prompting her to post yet another Instagram statement, addressing the criticism.

Britney wrote: “By no means was I being critical of Christina’s beautiful body, it is what it is!!! I flew to see her show once and the main thing I noticed was the difference of our people on stage!!! By no means did I even mention Christina, look at my post !!! I was inspired by her show and she is a beautiful woman of power…Thank you @xtina for inspiring me!!!”

She continued, saying that it was, “a projection of the insecurities I deal with all the time as a result of how my parents and the media have treated me…I would never intentionally body shame anybody because I know what it feels like…I struggle with this because of how I feel about myself, not because I hate how anybody looks.”

Fans are now calling for Britney to directly apologize and delete the original post.
