Ahead of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’s release on 29 March, we’re getting an early look at some of the Titans that might be appearing.

That’s thanks to upcoming video game Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers, a spinoff taking place in the movie’s same MonsterVerse.

“It was really important to us to be able to have the monsters, to be able to fight the monsters, and to have the monsters fight each other because that’s such a key part of this universe, and it’s something that fans would really want to see,” the game’s chief creative officer Louisa Gallie tells STV News.

Among the mysterious monsters shown off for the turn-based strategy game are a gigantic crustacean that looks like a cross between a crab and a spider, and a huge green iguana that resembles a baby Godzilla. These appear alongside a skullcrawler, introduced in 2017’s Kong: Skull Island,

“It’s been an incredibly exciting time for our staff, not just working on a big IP, but working on one that’s so cool and there are so many fans of it,” said Gallie.

Her team at Hunted Games has been working on the game since February 2022, which is plenty of time to fill the game with monsters both familiar and fresh.

“We’ve been able to create some of our own original monsters as well as use some of the monsters that have not appeared in the film or the TV series yet. So that’s been really exciting, not just to be able to kind of play with the monsters that exist in that universe, but also to be able to add to it.”

While Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers launches May 21 on iOS and Android, two months after the movie, take a look at the trailer below to see the monsters that might be appearing on-screen.
