Godzilla Minus One to Release in Black and White

Godzilla Minus One has stormed the Japanese box office and stomped its way to a certified fresh score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Being described as "the best Godzilla movie since Ishirō Honda's seminal first", the movie has surprised audiences and critics alike.

Earning 4.4 billion yen (30.9 million USD) and $64.2 million at the worldwide box office, it became the fourth top-grossing Japanese live-action film of 2023.

Now, it has been announced that a black and white edition of the film will be released in 340 theaters across Japan from January 12, 2024.

Godzilla Minus Ones takes place in a post war Japan that is at its lowest point when a new crisis emerges in the form of a giant monster, baptized in the horrific power of the atomic bomb.
