As the e-cargo market continues to grow, with most companies having some version of a grocery-getting, kid-carrying electric bike, the team at Karbon Kinetics Limited, known for the innovative and space-saving G4 and G4i models, is now releasing their interpretation of what an electric cargo bike is, again using a combination of proprietary technology and think-outside-the-box modernization that is aiming to disrupt one of the biggest markets in the electric bike industry.

Karbon Kinetics is now ready to release its latest model, the GoCycle CXi, which takes some inspiration from automotive design and melds it with an array of proprietary tech from previous models, while also including some entirely new products that are sure to create a buzz in the e-cargo market.

Coming from an F1 racing design background, GoCycle Designer and Founder Richard Thorpe has always focused on integration and seamless design, creating a unique product that is easily recognizable while simultaneously working flawlessly. This all begins with the OneDesignDNA, which uses Thorpe's F1 background and incorporates a sleek and streamlined design by reducing exposed cables, gearing, and drivetrains, while also merging design features such as their patented PitStopwheels, racing-style tires, and simple folding mechanism.

All of this, combined with the new WingPillar frame, a variation on their monocoque G4 frame, which can hold up to 480lbs, they have also completely redesigned the handlebar on the CXi, revolutionizing the ergonomics and adjustability of the handlebar to fit the needs of practically every rider. It is adjustable in reach, height, grip angle, as well as providing multiple hand positions and fingertip controls. Couple all this with their unique handlebar display and daytime running lights (available on the CX+ model only) and you have an e-cargo bike that is loaded up with all the tech you could ask for.

“Entering the cargo e-bike scene is a bold move for Gocycle, expanding our product family into uncharted territory. We’ve focused on our core values of lightweight and portability - addressing a vital gap in the market, especially for customers turned off by cumbersome and heavy cargo bikes,” said Richard Thorpe, Gocycle Designer & Founder.

By streamlining the entire bike and using a high-tech composite frame, the team at GoCycle is reducing the amount of maintenance needed for their e-bikes by including a Shimano Nexus rear-hub, Gates CDX belt drive system and their patented CleanDrive protector that keeps out dirt, grime and dust from the drivetrain. All of these factors combine to keep the GoCycle CXi and CX+ down to a surprisingly low weight of only 50 lbs, almost unheard of in the e-cargo market.

There will be a limited amount of bikes available during the pre-launch, with a CXi model going for $6999 and the CX+ at $7999, with a fully-refundable $499 deposit to be placed immediately to reserve your spots amongst the few early buyers. Limited spots are available here.
