To all the Glossier girlies out there, this news is for you! The viral brand is once again on the verge of something new (and we're not just talking about them FINALLY bringing eyeliners back after they discontinued the OG versions!). Glossier is opening four brand new locations this year, adding new storefronts to their roster of shops in London, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Miami.

What better, these stores won't be the pop-up type of locations they are so fond of and that we've seen in Boston, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Toronto. According to an IG post from the brand, Glossier will be opening up permanent addresses along the East Coast, starting this summer with Atlanta and D.C., and extending to Philadelphia and Brooklyn in the fall.

According to Vogue Business, a fifth location will be arriving in 2023 in New York City's Soho neighborhood, replacing the original store which was shuttered due to COVID-19.

“We’re taking a strategic and intentional approach to our retail stores; knowing we can’t be everywhere all at once, we're choosing locations where we have an existing community of customers and an opportunity to expand on that," CEO Kyle Leahy tells Vogue Business.

The newly minted CEO took over the company in June after the founder of Glossier and Into The Gloss (the blog that inspired the brand), Emily Weiss stepped down from her role. Weiss announced the news via Instagram and a blog post on the brand's site. Kyle previously served as Chief Commercial Officer of the brand since 2021. Weiss remains involved in the company as Executive Chairwoman.

Glossier also launched its first celebrity partnership with Olivia Rodrigo back in April 2022. According to Kyle, Glossier plans to enter into retail partnerships soon (think department stores and existing fashion or beauty retailers) and switch up the community-led marketing approach they are known for.

The brand also implemented a $1 to $4 price increase for some of its products starting July 6, with Business Of Fashion reporting that Glossier's reason was "higher production costs."

With so much newness and change coming from such a beloved brand, we'll say, we're rooting for you and your East Coast takeover, Glossier!
