The Formula
On April 24, Glossier is dropping a new Strawberry flavor of its beloved balm. And we have amazing news for the Glossier stans: this flavor will be made in the balm's OG formula. As a refresher, in early 2023, Glossier announced that the formula of their fan-favorite lip balm would be getting an update. The new look included a vegan formula, which saw the lanolin ingredient removed. It also upgraded the applicator shape to be sloped like a typical lip balm instead of the paint-tube feel it once had. In the same breath, the brand discontinued a beloved flavor, Cherry. Longtime fans of the brand weren't thrilled with the changes, and have been begging for the OG to return ever since.

Now, you can experience the original formula once again, this time with a sweet strawberry scent. The formula contains castor seed oil, beeswax, and lanolin, all of which have emollient properties to lock moisture into the skin. Cupuacu fruit extract takes the moisture even further with its Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acid contents, while rice bran and rosemary leaf extracts provide antioxidant protection to the skin. It also has a sheer "red jammy tint" for a swipe of color, perfect for hot, lazy days ahead.
