For those interested in a scenic train ride with luxury rail company Rocky Mountaineer, traveling during the fall or spring comes with even more perks — but you’ll have to book soon.
With its latest Peaks Off-Peak promotion, Rocky Mountaineer is rewarding shoulder season travelers with a discount of $240 off per couple on all packages during select 2023 dates. These discounted departures are available in April, May, and October 2023, meaning guests can save even more money on top of the already lower-than-usual prices during those months.
These early spring and late fall departures may take place during the off-peak season, but they come with their own set of unique advantages, whether guests are on a two-day adventure across the American Southwest or a multiday trip winding through the Canadian Rockies.
In April and May, passengers can witness the beauty of the landscape coming back to life after a long winter. While remnants of the melting snow may still be visible on the mountain peaks, fresh blooming flowers and sleepy animals reawaken below. Later in the year, Mother Nature puts on a different kind of show, with October presenting all the typical signs of fall. Trees with vibrant red and golden yellow leaves blanket the landscape as the Rocky Mountaineer rolls through, while animals forage in preparation for the colder months ahead.
No matter which route or departure date travelers choose, Rocky Mountaineer’s level of service stays the same, thanks to its attentive staff, entertaining storytellers, and locally sourced meals served on board.
The Peaks Off-Peak promotion is available on both SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf Service, but interested travelers will have to act quickly as the promotion is only valid now through Oct. 31. Bookings can be made via the Rocky Mountaineer sales center or through a travel agent.
