All the Glamorous Details from Lady Gaga’s “Gypsy Palace” Malibu Home

In Vogue's October issue cover story, writer Jonathan Van Meter goes inside Lady Gaga's home, which has a George Condo painting and lots of pink.

In Vogue’s October cover story, Jonathan Van Meter goes inside Lady Gaga’s expansive and eccentric Malibu home. But what, exactly, lies within the House of Gaga? Here, a few of the best details.

There’s a Riding Arena
On her Malibu property, Lady Gaga has a fenced in ring where she rides her horse, Arabella. Arabella isn’t the only animal on the property, either—she also has two dogs, Grandpa and Ronnie.

She Calls It Her “Gypsy Palace”
With a garden full of roses, a sloping lawn, and a Pacific Ocean view, Gaga’s home sounds nothing short of idyllic. “This is my sanctuary,” she says. “My oasis of peace. I call it my ‘gypsy palace.’“

She Has a Room Full of Clothes
Forget a walk in-closet. Lady Gaga has a room full of clothes, including a custom cape from Alexander McQueen, Gianni Versace designs from the 90s, and, in a separate chamber, “racks upon racks of leather and feathers and sequins and a lot of black.” Oh, and that pink fedora she wore in "Joanne." Speaking of pink . . .

There’s a Lot of It
“I like pink,” Gaga says. “It’s a relaxing color.” And her house is full of it—including a pink blob sofa and enormous pink rug.

Gaga Has a Framed Letter from David Bowie
Lady Gaga has spoken before about the inspiration she’s found in the late rockstar, David Bowie (she even performed a tribute to him at the 2016 Grammys). And, on her mantel, she has a framed letter from him that simply and inexplicably reads: “Dear Lady, Unfortunately I will not be in NYC for a few months but many thanks for the cake.”

She’s a Fan of George Condo
Like fellow music superstar Kanye West, Gaga is a fan of artist George Condo. Hanging on the wall is his giant painting of a woman in a ball gown, her faced smudged. “Reminds me of myself,” she tells Van Meter. “Beautiful but a little bit messy.”
