The Girl Scouts Are Kicking Off the Season with a New Cookie

It’s the best time of the year for cookie lovers—Girl Scout cookie season is officially underway! To celebrate the season of sweets, the Girl Scouts announced a new drool-worthy cookie available for order: Caramel Chocolate Chip. It looks like a regular chocolate chip cookie, but it also features rich caramel and just a taste of sea salt (we’re already planning to order at least 4 boxes). The new cookie was first teased back in August, but now it’s finally available to buy.

Even better, the new Caramel Chocolate Chip is gluten-free, joining the Toffee-tastic cookie (introduced in 2015), to become the second option available now for gluten-free Girl Scout cookie lovers. Like all of your other favorites, these two tasty cookies will only be available in select areas as long as supplies last, so if you’re already craving a Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie like us, be sure to get your order in soon.

Of course, all your other favorites will be back this year, including Thin Mints, Samoas, Peanut Butter Patties, Thanks-A-Lots, and more. Luckily, it’s easy to find Girl Scouts near you selling cookies—you can visit the Girl Scouts’ website, or use the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder app (available on iOS and Android) to find the closest Caramel Chocolate Chips.

Even if you end up ordering online (yes, it’s a thing!), all the proceeds from your order will stay local to fund activities and community projects for your local troop. Most cookie sales only last until April, so don’t wait too long to find your local Girl Scout troop and place your order. After all, you can even use them to make other desserts, so Girl Scout cookies never go to waste!
