This year marks the fortieth anniversary of Giorgio Armani, and to commemorate the occasion, they are launching #Atribute, a campaign that lets the public learn about the people, themes, and things that have become an essential part of the brand throughout the years. #Atribute, which comes from mixing the words Armani and tribute, will also give fans of the brand an opportunity to become part of the history, by sharing their Armani experiences, and using the hashtag #Atribute.

In addition, they are launching a website, at Armani.com/Atribute, that will focus on the 40 most important themes for the brand, which will reinforce the timeless vision that has characterized Giorgio Armani himself, since the company was first founded in 1975. The first theme has been unveiled today, and appropriately, it is “history,” and gives a glimpse of Armani before he became the fashion icon that he is today. He starts at the beginning, when he and his friend Sergio Galotti sold their Volkswagen in order to partly fund the nascent company. And what a long, strange journey it’s been. Congrats Mr. Armani, here’s to another 40 years!
