Among the guests were Coco Rocha, Achileas of Greece, Molly Howard, Zani Gugelmann, Zac Posen, Harrison Ball, Alix Brown, Evan Ross Katz, Jessica Wang, Sabine Getty, Emily Mortimer, and AnnaSophia Robb.

The shop, which was previously on the second floor, has moved to an expansive space on the fourth floor. It features Armani’s ready-to-wear women’s collections, including the main clothing line, accessories and made-to-order services, as well as an exclusive selection of vintage garments from its newly developed Archivio range, which is being sold at Bergdorf’s from Tuesday through Oct. 30.

Archivio by Giorgio Armani is an offering of garments from previous collections curated from the brand’s archives exclusively for Berdorf’s meant to reflect Armani’s enduring vision of modernity and timeless elegance, while reaffirming the commitment to sustainability.

“The history of Bergdorf Goodman makes it utterly unique and a crucial part of New York City in the collective imagination. To me personally, it represents an important milestone: the first appearance of my creations in the United States and the beginning of the international success of Armani style. This new in-store boutique further reinforces an excellent long-standing relationship. It is a sign of new energy and loyalty, which I value deeply,” said Giorgio Armani.

In addition, a dedicated window display, featuring two windows, exhibits the latest collection of women’s ready-to-wear set in a vignette designed in collaboration with the Bergdorf visual team.

Linda Fargo, senior vice president, women’s fashion director and store presentation at Bergdorf’s, said, “One thing I Iove is the clothing is always refined, beautiful and soft. The product is the heroine as it should be. You really see the quality of the clothing. There’s always a statement to it.”

Hutton, the model and actress, recalled how she had gotten the female lead in the ’80s film, “American Gigolo,” and because she was acting with Richard Gere, who was going to be dressed in Armani, she knew she had to watch out for her costumes too. “I bought my first Women’s Wear Daily and got into a taxi and saw an incredibly beautiful jacket and it was Giorgio Armani,” and she just knew she needed to wear Armani’s clothing as well in the film. “He did all my costumes and I got to keep them,” she said.

Hutton, who will turn 80 next month, is writing a book about her life’s adventures. “It’s coming along. It’s hard,” she said. She said she doesn’t have a publisher yet, because they would impose a deadline, and she’d rather not have that pressure.

Coco Rocha, who said she’s celebrating her 20th year in modeling, said she used to love modeling in Armani’s shows. She recalled how he would be backstage with all the models “and would send them all out. He had a point of view in all of it,” she said.
