Italian artist Giorgia Bottini isn’t afraid to call her sense of style “trash/fash”—trash-meets-fashion to the uninitiated. Lest you think that means literal garbage bags, I’ll clarify: Bottini’s slick look is equal parts Fendi logo trousers, sequin minidresses, and leopard print. The street style star has perfected the art of looking smartly jumbled together, like a cyber magpie in tube tops, oversized pants, and tiny, pretty dresses.  “I love tight clothes, miniskirts, maxi t-shirts, combined with my inevitable Dr. Martens or in contrast with a stiletto heel, a triple chain and broken pantyhose,” Bottini begins. “This is trash-fash.”

She documents her best looks on her Instagram, @jorjapins, where you can also find a smattering of her artwork, including collages, stickers, and pins. “I love to customize clothes, objects, bags—always adding my last personal touch. My art is this, feeling free to choose which look to create, which colors to match. My art is to dress me,” Bottini says, explaining that a free sense of style is more than just for show. “When I dress myself, I really feel a sense of lightness and feeling of well-being, because there is nothing nicer than feeling good with when we wear all that we want.”
