Without further ado, The Voice season 23 winner is Gina Miles.
Following Tuesday night’s two-hour finale, viewers sat on the edge on their seats while the Illinois native was crowned on the NBC singing competition show. The highly anticipated moment came after the aspiring singer earned more votes than fellow Voice hopefuls Grace West (Team Blake), D. Smooth (Team Kelly), Sorelle (Team Chance) and Noivas (Team Blake).
From the beginning, Voice coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper immediately noticed her talent. For her blind audition, the 19 year old caused a stir when she performed “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry. After making a statement with her emotional singing, Gina chose Niall as her coach.

Under his wing, she went on to impress folks with her powerful vocals during the Battles when she belted out a moving version of “Skinny Love” by Bon Iver. Still, nothing could prepare fans for her rendition of “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye and “Wicked Games” by Chris Isaak for the Knockouts and Playoffs, respectively.
Once she landed in the Top 8, Gina gave it her all with “All I Want” by Kodaline. All of this culminated to the heart-pumping finale. Taking the stage one last time on her own, she sang “Nothing Compares 2 U” by Sinéad O'Connor to wrap up her time on the show. And with only seconds left on the clock, host Carson Daly revealed that Gina was the winner of The Voice season 2023.
Unsurprisingly, fans instantly headed over to Twitter to kick off the celebration. “I CANT STOP CRYING I CANT STOP SMILING I CANT😭😭😭,” one person wrote. "I'm really happy with the result, Gina is so special, she has a unique voice, incredible control and will go very far on her journey! Congrats Gina, you deserve it! ❤️❤️🏆🏆," another added. "Way to go, Gina! I knew you could do it! Your voice is truly incredible. I look forward to seeing all you can achieve!" a different follower said.
But there were others who were rooting for Grace and couldn’t help but feel upset over the results. “She was good, but disappointed that Grace West didn’t win for Blake Shelton final show. I truly thought Grace West was gonna win,” someone else chimed in. “Poor Grace she's probably going down as the most robbed #TheVoice contestant ever,” another tweeted.
Although The Voice can only have one winner per season, it doesn’t mean that Grace, D. Smooth, Sorelle and Noivas are going anywhere. We’re sure it’s only a matter of time before these aspiring singers resurface again with incredible original hits. In the meantime, Gina will sign a recording contract with Universal Music Group and join Niall in the pop music scene.
