Gigi Hadid's Reaction To Meeting Cake Boss Buddy Valastro Was Too Pure

One thing I love about Hollywood is the amount of unlikely friendships between celebs. Did you know Courteney Cox and Ed Sheeran are besties? So are Gigi Hadid and Buddy Valastro, and apparently, when the two first met, Gigi was the one doing the fan-girling.

Buddy talked to TMZ about his first time meeting the supermodel and said it was clear she was a fan of the show because of all of the cake decorating knowledge she had. Buddy and Gigi met while working on a video with Harper's Bazaar where they chatted while decorating cakes together, and that's when Gigi cried.

"I gotta tell you, when I met her for the first time, when she saw me, she really cried," he told the outlet: "She watched Cake Boss growing up and she watched it with her family. I mean she knows like the whole opening line sequence, it's crazy."

ICYMI, Gigi bought her partner Zayn Malik's birthday cake from Carlo's Bakery, proving she really is a super fan. Buddy and Gigi spent six hours together filming for Harper's Bazaar and hit it off in such a short amount of time. Buddy went on to tell TMZ Gigi is "such an amazing person. Beautiful, but she's even more beautiful on the inside than outside. Honestly, true salt of the earth."

The feeling was definitely mutual and Gigi even posted the finished decorated cakes with pastel floral designs on her Instagram page. "I have been waiting for [what feels like] my whole life for my first day at @carlosbakery!" she wrote.
