It sure looks like Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are getting cozy once again!

The two stars were spotted out and about in NYC on Saturday, January 11, presumably celebrating Zayn’s 27th birthday along with Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa (who is, of course, dating Gigi and Bella’s brother, Anwar Hadid). According to pics snapped by paparazzi, Gigi and Zayn were seen strolling arm-in-arm, both donning light green jackets for the occasion.

Rumors that the ex-couple could be rekindling their romance have been circulating for weeks now; in December 2019, Gigi mentioned on Instagram Stories that she was cooking a recipe she learned from Zayn’s mom, sending fans into speculation overdrive. Additionally, news broke in November that Gigi and Zayn were reportedly “talking again,” though a source told E! News at the time that they were keeping things pretty casual, adding that Gigi “has always had a soft spot for Zayn and they have a lot of history together.”

And it’s true — Gigi and Zayn’s love story dates all the way back to 2015. Rumors of a breakup circulated about a year later, but they officially called in quits in early 2018 before reuniting, and breaking up again in January 2019. From there, Gigi was linked to former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron; the two allegedly split in October, just one month before Gigi and Zayn reportedly reconnected.

As for the latest news, it’s important to remember that Gigi and Zayn could just be friends — yes, even despite their complex history. After all, their connection goes way back, and it’s possible that they are spending time together now in a platonic way. Until either of them clarify their relationship status, it’s best to give them the space and privacy they deserve.
