Gigi Hadid Wrote About the Kind of Mom She Wants to Be in a Touching Mother's Day Post to Yolanda
Gigi Hadid is months away from welcoming her first child with Zayn Malik. And for Mother's Day yesterday, the model reflected on the kind of mother she wants to be in the intimate tribute she shared to her own mom, Yolanda Hadid. Gigi shared a photo of Yolanda when she was pregnant alongside Gigi as a kid. Gigi wrote in the caption, "Best I could ever ask for. ❤️ Happy Mother’s Day to the one I’ll do my best to emulate. I love you beyond words @yolanda.hadid you are a superhero!!!!!"
Yolanda adored the tribute, writing back to her daughter in the comments section, "❤️Thank you my love 🙏"

Gigi confirmed her pregnancy on April 30 during her interview with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show. The model is due in September and is reportedly expecting a baby girl.
Gigi acknowledged the news leak, telling Fallon, "Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support so..."
"I’m trying [to be present for every part of my pregnancy]," she continued. "Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it."
Gigi's mother Yolanda was the first family member to speak publicly about Gigi's pregnancy news. Yolanda told Dutch celebrity news show RTL Boulevard that she was “still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press. Of course we are so excited. I’m excited to become Oma in September, especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us, and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
