Gigi Hadid Wore the Most Confusing Cropped Jacket With Huge Billowy Pants

A new spin on tiny tops with big pants.

Gigi Hadid may just be the only person on earth to pull off her latest 'fit, which is just the right amount of head-scratching to have everyone give it a second look. The model was seen today in New York City shooting a new campaign for Maybelline, a brand that she's worked with since 2015. In the shots, she was seen on the city streets as well as posing with one of the city's signature yellow taxicabs, but it was her outfit stealing the spotlight, not the setting.

Hadid combined a super-cropped, strong-shouldered blazer and equally short button-up with a pair of super-wide, billowing pants. While that may seem like the average office-appropriate outfit, her blazer also included an asymmetrical belt detail that swept across her bare midriff, and she added another thin, sculptural belt with a tie loop to her pants for one more layer of embellishment and intrigue. She finished the look with pointy-toe stiletto pumps and wore her new very short bob in tight waves. And since it was a beauty campaign, she had fresh, glowy skin and a statement-making mauve lip color.

Earlier this week, during her off time, Hadid was seen taking in a performance of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street with her Oscar-nominated beau, Bradley Cooper. The two have been dating since October 2023 and have been seen all over the Big Apple together, including celeb-beloved spots like Cucina Alba and at their friend Antoni Porowski’s birthday party. The couple has even made their relationship international, having been spotted across the pond in London back in January. And they've even been seen together in Los Angeles. After the 2024 Golden Globes, Hadid and Cooper were cozying up at L.A.'s Giorgio Baldi — another spot frequented by A-listers — with friends.

"They were with a group of friends, and all had fun. Bradley and Gigi looked happy together," a source told People. "They weren’t overly affectionate, but it was still obvious that they are dating. There were lots of loving glances and flirting." Additional sources told the publication this week that the two looked to be "in good form and smiling” during an NYC date night and were being "cute" together.
