Gigi Hadid Tries Out Tangerine Eyeliner, and the Result Is Perfectly Playful
As the temperatures begin to climb, pops of cheerful color are something of a mandate. After all, what better way to celebrate the sun than with above-neck details that rival its radiance? Gigi Hadid proved the point with a recent tangerine eyeliner look, shared to Instagram on Sunday.
The work of makeup artist Patrick Ta, an ample application of citrus-inspired liner offered a saturated extension to the inner corners of Hadid's eyes. Ta kept the rest of the model's makeup uniform—a swipe of mascara, brushed-up brows, and an overlined nude lip—guaranteeing that all focus fell to the bold, gaze-encasing note. A sophisticated iteration of the lately loved face-framing braids—favored by Hadid, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more—was furnished by hairstylist Laura Polk, who pinned diminutive sections of Hadid's hair to similar, though far more subtle, effect.
As with most beauty this year, buoyed by a 2000s revival and a return to social spaces, the result was pleasingly playful, and calls for an immediate reimagining featuring your preferred liner color. Classic black is an eternal win, but we could all do with some funk and flash this summer.
