A big part of Gigi Hadid’s success as one of the world’s most famous supermodels is her uncanny ability to blend and adjust into any kind of style—and that skill was never more evident than during a shoot she undertook in New York City on Tuesday.

Hadid suited up for a SoHo photo shoot for Maybelline, a brand she has been an ambassador for since 2015. Paparazzi captured photos of her on set, where she posed in two outfits that teetered on opposite ends of the trend spectrum.

First, the model embraced the “office siren” trend in a stark black suit composed of a cropped blazer with boxy structured shoulders and crisscrossing buckle straps wrapped around her abdomen, as well as a pair of pleated high-rise trousers. The suit was paired with a cropped white button-down, black leather pointed-toe shoes, and a thin black leather belt with gold oval-shaped hardware.

Hadid was later seen dressed in a more feminine gray suit, featuring a cropped button bustier and pleated wide-leg pants. She zhuzhed up the look with a pop of Barbiecore pink via a shaggy cotton candy fur jacket, then finished the ensemble off with transparent black socks and pastel blue suede pumps.

Hadid previously talked about her mindset when it comes to work during an interview for Harper's Bazaar’s August 2021 cover story.

“It’s not my job to have an opinion on what I’m wearing [on set],” she said. “It’s my job to wear what I wear and have enough of a photographic mind to understand how to make that piece look good, sellable, and give the feeling that is wanted by the creative team.”

She added, “The point is not to be distracted by yourself or even look at yourself in the mirror. It’s about being able to look at the camera, and then, kind of in your out-of-focus vision, is the shape of you. It’s training a model to understand how she fits into the photo, which is why I became a model. Obviously, I’m not saying this as anything disrespectful against women, but you have to look at yourself like an object or a fashion object or a sculpture.”
