Gigi Hadid put a jazzy spin on the power suit last night, when she stepped out in a cobalt-blue number to host the 2022 WWD Honors Awards.

The supermodel looked stunning in a rich blue velvet suit which featured a double-breasted blazer and wide-leg pants. She paired the piece with a crisp white dress shirt, which she wore open, and matching pointed-toe heels.

Hadid accessorized simply with layered diamond necklaces. For glam, the model wore casual beach waves and opted for bronzy makeup, including a brown lip.

The gala was held at Cipriani South Street in New York City and recognized the best-performing companies in retail, fashion and beauty, as well as executives and designers who have had a major impact in the industry.

Designer Tommy Hilfiger received the John B. Fairchild Honor for Lifetime Achievement at the awards and happily posed for photos with Hadid.

A lover of luxury minimalism, oversized pants, comfortable footwear, and cozy sweaters, Hadid is regularly showing off her sophisticated, laid-back style both on and off the red carpet. Recently, the mom of one even debuted her own knitwear brand, Guest in Residence.

She told BAZAAR.com last month after the launch, “My goal in life is to look as chic or put together as possible while always being comfortable. I very rarely, even on red carpets, will wear things that I feel uncomfortable in throughout the event because I just feel like I can't be myself as much when I'm thinking about what I'm wearing in that way.”
