Gigi Hadid’s latest arm candy came courtesy of Valentino.
While some, like Selena Gomez, respond to a breakup by going in for a fresh new cut, others, like Gigi Hadid, skip the salon and go straight for the accessories. When Hadid headed out in New York today, she toted a Valentino Garavani studded cross-body bag that gave cool new meaning to fashion arm candy—Zayn or no Zayn. The move felt all the more apt considering that, during their relationship, Hadid was known to wear her heart on her sleeve in pieces that were either designed or inspired by her now-departed rocker beau. Though from the looks of it, the model is just as fiercely devoted to the house of Valentino.
Hadid’s bag came emblazoned with the brand’s shortened logo, VLTN, and was covered with a grommet-studded embellishment that worked with her edgy yet polished leopard-print ankle boots. Both add-ons elevated an accompanying off-duty jeans-and-sweater combination, which she topped with a roomy Maje x Schott varsity jacket trimmed in sheepskin for an extra layer of texture. True to form, Hadid finished the ensemble with a pair of pitch-perfect tinted sunglasses by Linda Farrow—an accessory signature that packed equal parts color-coordination and shine.
