Gigi Hadid, Karla Welch and More Will Be Expert Speakers at the 2019 IMG Fashion Camp
Campers, get ready for a week-long odyssey into the fashion industry.
Clearly, IMG Models has found success with its annual fashion summer camp for teens (no surprise there — we would have begged our parents to send us if this existed during our teen years) because it's coming back for its third year running. And the programming sounds like it will be bigger and better than ever.
From June 23 to June 29 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, campers aged 14-20 will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of various fashion career paths from experts in the industry, including some pretty big-name speakers.
There's celebrity stylist and fashion designer Karla Welch, who works with the likes of Justin Bieber and Tracee Ellis Ross; celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway, who works with stars like Tessa Thompson and Amandla Stenberg; model, actor and musician Lucky Blue Smith; celebrity makeup artist Daniel Martin and more. Special guests Gigi Hadid and Halima Aden — who was also a speaker last year — will make an appearance as well.
While the exact 2019 camp schedule and activities have yet to be announced, last year’s camp focused on helping participants build their brand, from creating content to promotion to resume, presentation and interview skills. Tickets cost $2,610 and there are 100-150 spots available.
