Gigi Hadid Just Wore a Hot Pink Bob at NYFW

When Gigi Hadid walked the runway at Jeremy Scott’s NYFW Fall 2018 show, she turned heads with a hair makeover we definitely weren't expecting. While the model typically rocks tousled blonde waves, she switched things up with a hot pink bob featuring sharp lines and blunt bangs.

The genius behind the hair was Eugene Souleiman, who explained the futuristic inspiration behind the wigs (perfected with Wella's Eimi range and the ghd Gold Professional Styler). “This color spectrum is normally associated with loose, undone styles, but this look is sharp, geometric and almost space-age. It is in some ways a homage to Vidal Sassoon and his cuts,” he said. The candy-colored neon strands gave Gigi a whole new beauty style we typically don't see her rock (but since she's pulling it off flawlessly, maybe she'll consider an IRL pink-hued makeover soon?).

Key makeup artist Kabuki was behind Gigi's matching neon eye makeup, which featured hand-made plastic "wings" outlined in MAC acrylic paint. The inner half of her eye got some added color coordination with vibrant shades from the new MAC x Jeremy Scott Lo-Fi Palette. “I wanted to put across a feeling of 80’s futuristic pop," he explained.

Though the colors varied with each subsequent model, the theme remained the same: Colorful bob and geometric eye make-up. There was Gigi’s pastel pink, bright orange, turquoise, and even varying shades of green and purple. Check out the neon parade below:
