Gigi Hadid Escorted a YouTuber Who Crashed the Chanel Show Off the Runway

From ELLE

A wild thing happened at Chanel's spring/summer 2020 fashion show in Paris today: A woman—who Women's Wear Daily identified as Marie Benoliel, better known as 28-year-old YouTuber Marie S'Infiltre—jumped on stage and started walking with the models during the show's finale.

Gigi Hadid, who was modeling in the show, took it upon herself to intervene. She was filmed confronting Benoliel, placing a hand on her shoulder, and essentially yanking her off the stage.

Many were amused by the surprise twist:

And because everyone had their phones out, Hadid's confrontation with the crasher was thoroughly documented.

The event is among the craziest things to happen this fashion month. It's unclear now whether it was planned or truly a surprise to everyone involved. Security did not look too pleased about it, anyway.

Hadid's appearance today comes hours after her friend Hailey Baldwin got married to Justin Bieber in South Carolina (religiously, anyway, and in front of friends and family; they had their legal ceremony secretly in a New York City courthouse last year). While Kendall Jenner skipped Paris Fashion Week to attend the wedding, Hadid and her sister Bella Hadid remained in the French city.
