Gigi Hadid Debuted Baby Bangs During a Photo Shoot
Gigi Hadid has always kept us guessing with her hair. In the past, she's debuted a style straight from the '90s, a color change that had us thinking bronde, and she once even embraced pink. For her latest temporary change in hair, the model has returned to an old favorite and debuted her version of baby bangs.
During a recent photoshoot in New York City, Gigi wore two very different hairstyles. As spotted by The Daily Mail, Gigi started her day wearing very short bangs. Although it was only a wig, her brief return to bangs proved a lot more edgy than her 2016 bangs.
For the photo shoot, Gigi's normally long hair was traded out for a shoulder-length wig that was filled with fringe. Along with the bangs that hit above her brows, Gigi's wig featured pieces of hair that framed her face, and other wispy tresses that looked very edgy and rocker chic.
The reveal of baby bangs wasn't the only hair surprise that Gigi unveiled during the photo shoot. For a second look, she was again spotted with bangs, but this time, the rest of her hair was much longer. She accessorized the hairstyle with a basic black headband. In her final look of the shoot, Gigi returned to her natural hair and was photographed with her long tresses effortlessly slicked to the side.
Baby bangs have become a frequent staple on the runaway and IRL. Both Kylie and Kendall Jenner wore their version of the trend in 2017, while Kaia Geber just sported her wavy version of the style at the beginning of October. Plus, as Gigi has previously demonstrated, you can always achieve a similar look with clip-in bangs.
Before making the chop to baby bangs, you may want to consider the upkeep and styling required of the fringe. Be sure to consider your own hair texture, face shape, and whether you're ready to spend a bit more time in the mirror on your haircare routine. Bangs may take some work, but at least they always grow back.
