Gigi Hadid Couldn't Tell Taylor Swift and Drag Queen Jade Jolie Apart After a Couple of Drinks

John Travolta wasn't the only person who seemed to mistake RuPaul's Drag Race alum Jade Jolie for Taylor Swift on Monday night. The drag queen, who dressed like Swift for the event, explained to New Now Next that even one of Swift's closest friends, Gigi Hadid, confused them later in the night.

Actually, several more people did, Jolie said: "Well, funny enough, when we were walking in the back [during the VMAs], where it’s mainly dancers and stuff, I got tired of saying, “No, I’m not her,” so I just started hugging people! 'So nice to meet you, too!' And at the after party Gigi Hadid kept thinking I was Taylor—they’re really good friends. The drunker we got, I guess the more Taylor I became for everyone!"

Swift was apparently pretty amused by Travolta confusing them, Jolie said. "She was tickled, and thought it was so funny. She joked and was like, 'You totally should have went for it [accepting the VMA from him]!'"

Hadid did spend plenty of time with actual Taylor Swift at that after party though. The girls were photographed together, and apparently Swift got to meet Tyler Cameron, The Bachelorette runner-up Hadid has been seeing for the past couple weeks.

A partygoer told E! that "Taylor greeted him with a big hug. Tyler and Gigi shared a kiss."

And a separate source told Us Weekly that “Gigi brought him over to Taylor Swift’s section and they chatted. Tyler and Gigi were dancing all night. He had his arms wrapped around her and was kissing the back of her neck. They were inseparable.”
