Gigi Hadid Carried a Puppy During the Tod's Show at Milan Fashion Week

Designers have been thinking way out of the box this Milan Fashion Week. At Moschino, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Kaia Gerber did their best Jackie O impressions in over-the-top bouffant bob wigs and glamorous '60s-inspired evening wear. Meanwhile, over on the Gucci runway, models had all-seeing third eyes attached to their foreheads and, in a very normal and not at all creepy twist, carried exact replicas of their own heads instead of handbags. High-end accessories designer Tod's also took an unconventional approach to accessorizing Gigi and company — but armed them with live puppies.

Although her sister sadly didn't get to carry one of these very good boys down the catdogwalk, Gigi cuddled with a French bulldog as she modeled a multilayered look comprised of two cozy shearling coats, baggy leather pants, suede boots, and a large leather tote. (As Marie Claire notes, Gigi has considerable experience toting around a Frenchie, as she's often been spotted carrying boyfriend Zayn Malik's pup around New York.) The other models lucky enough to double as pet sitters at Friday's show were equally bundled up, pairing tiny chihuahuas and docile Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with their own suede-, leather-, and knitwear-filled ensembles.

Not everyone was thrilled with the leather goods brand's choice to send dogs down the runway, though, as it seemed to give off vaguely Cruella DeVil-esque vibes. "Gigi-with-puppy at Tod's. Interesting accessory choice for a leather house...." one concerned Twitter user wrote. Woof.
