Gigantic Mastiff Befriending His Tiny Grandma Is the Ultimate Act of Sweetness

Dogs of all sizes can be as sweet as pie, but some large dogs are known for being exceptionally friendly and kind. After all, the term 'gentle giant' is more accurate than you may expect! Gigantic dogs like Irish Wolfhounds and Great Danes tend to be calm and graceful, but if you look up the term 'gentle giant' in a dictionary, you'll notice their picture there, too. It's impossible not to love one of these. big, adorable dogs!

And let's just say that Bowswer is no exception. The massive English Mastiff was stuck deep in his feelings after a few new friends came over to his house, so he turned to his grandma for a bit of comfort and certainty. Fortunately, she was happy to give it!

Aww! In all honestly, I can't tell who is wrapped around whose finger, but one thing is for sure: They're on the road to becoming the best of friends! The puppy dog eyes that Bowser gives his grandma are just about impossible to resist. Something tells me he knows this, too! He must be used to scoring lots of dog treats because he's got a strategy down, and he knows what works.

Before he knows it, his grandma will be completely cuddled up to him! She's only getting more and more affectionate with her granddog since their friendship is only beginning, and I know I'm not the only one who can't wait for updates.

English Mastiffs are docile, brave, and incredibly affectionate with people they love, which is good to know before considering adopting one for yourself. However, you also need to take the pets' massive size into consideration. You really do have all you need to raise a happy and healthy dog—no matter what species!

Mastiffs are Large and Loyal Dogs Who Thrive in a Family

Bowser's large size may startle some, but these gentle giant dogs do best in a family environment where they can get plenty of physical and mental enrichment. Mastiff breeds are incredibly loyal to their families, though not all dog owners can handle their massive size.

These dogs can grow up to 160-230 pounds in adulthood, so be sure to start training them when they're young. Not only will this make it easier for you to handle them when they're older, but it will hopefully show them that there's nothing to be afraid of, either. Remember, these extremely large dogs are as sweet as can be!
