Gig Hadid Gets Candid About Being a Mom to 2-Year-Old Khai

Gigi Hadid has opened up about being a mum to 2-year-old Khai, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.

The model has always been relatively private about their daughter, choosing not to share pictures of her face on social media and avoiding bringing up how they co-parent in interviews. The pair split in October 2021, about a year after their child was born.

But she has given fans a small insight into her morning routine with Khai, as part of WSJ Magazine's series, My Morning Routine. In it, Gigi revealed what time they usually wake up, and their go-to breakfasts of choice.

"Whatever time she’s waking up, I’m waking up," Gigi said (usually between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.). “I have a very mom morning routine. I eat whatever Khai’s having. I make her pancakes and sausages every day. For Christmas, she asked me what I was going to ask Santa for and so I said I wanted a new pancake pan. I ordered myself, via Santa, this cool pancake pan—each little circle pancake is a different animal, so she can have lion pancakes or llama pancakes. It’s really fun"

On how her daughter keeps her on her toes, Gigi added, "Running after my 2-year-old. We walk a lot. We do yoga together. With lifting her and running around all day and going to the park, I get moving."
