Tipping your delivery person for the holidays just got easier, tastier, and, well, a whole lot cheaper. Envelopes left in the box for the mail carrier are being replaced by a different kind of dough this season, thanks to a new promotion from Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut Is Giving Away Free Pizzas for Delivery Drivers

Each day from Dec. 6 through 10, Pizza Hut is giving away "Reverse Delivery"doormats, allowing pizza lovers to spread their favorite brand of holiday cheer for free. Simply place the mat at your front door, or wherever delivery people leave your packages. Delivery drivers can scan the QR code on the mat to go directly to shopatpizzahut.com. There, the driver is directed to redeem a gift card code for free pizza.

The pizza chain will release 50 mats per day on a first-come, first-served basis. Just go to Pizza Hut’s website to get yours.

“Many of us look to delivery drivers to deliver joy during the holiday season,” said Pizza Hut CMO, Lindsay Morgan, in a press release. “This was our chance to give some cheer back in the form of a delicious meal for delivery drivers to enjoy during their busiest time of year.”

The Pizza Hut team, of course, is well aware of the toll a busy season can take on delivery people. Its own drivers bring 110 million pizzas to customers each year. Not worrying about dinner for a night can make all the difference in someone’s day.

For folks who are expecting lots of packages this December, the free “Reverse Delivery” system is a free route to paying it forward to the people who are working their hardest. The offer is available only while supplies last, until December 27. That means that through most of the month, those who score a “Reverse Delivery” mat will be the most popular homes in the neighborhood. Is it too late to get a seasonal delivery gig?
