Giancarlo Esposito has nailed it in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Boys, and of course The Mandalorian, but what's next for the actor?

Well, if he has any say in the matter, it's a job at Marvel.

Fortunately for fans excited by that prospect, it appears as though there have already been some conversations behind-the-scenes, with Esposito recently confirming that he has had talks with the big bosses over at Marvel Studios.

In a video of Giancarlo doing a live Q&A shared on TikTok, the Star Wars baddie pointed out that he has "not worked for Marvel yet"–and that 'yet' is doing some heavy lifting.

"I've been in a room with them and talked to them," he continued.

Opening up about his thoughts on Marvel's ambitions for the MCU, Giancarlo said he sees the movies reflecting the "dream and intention to save the world", the environment, and to "uplift" people.

Hinting at what his role might be if his talks with Marvel continue, the actor suggested that an X-Men gig is on the horizon.

"So, there's been talk of Magneto," he said, before throwing in news that he's been linked to the DCEU's Mr Freeze. "There has been talk of Doom," he added.

"And there is Professor X."

And it's Professor X Giancarlo is gunning for. "I'm gonna go for something that is a little bit different," he said. "I'm gonna go and put it out in the universe that it is Professor X."

Before we get the opportunity to see Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X, we'll be seeing him in an upcoming remake of the UK television series, The Driver.

Esposito is set to play a taxi driver in the six-episode AMC series, which will be a re-imagining of the 2014 UK series of the same name.
