GH Emails From Afar: Robin Has Advice For Jason

Jason is back on General Hospital, and most of Port Charles now knows it. The news has even made its way to California, where ex-love Robin is living happily ever after with husband Patrick, and their kids, Emma and Noah. She may not be able to get away from her extremely important research. But that doesn’t mean she can’t drop Jason a quick note with some tips on how to handle all the trouble coming his way.

Write Here, Write Now

Jason! Welcome back to the land of the living! Again! I’m sure your boys are thrilled to see you, as are Monica (Leslie Charleson), and, obviously, Carly (Laura Wright). But for those who may be unsure about how they feel, here’s how to remind them how wonderful you are:

No Son of Mine

Let’s start with Michael (Chad Duell). That kid owes you everything. Remember how you and I practically raised him after Carly took off? We dressed him up for his first Halloween. (That pumpkin outfit was perfect for his red hair. So sad it darkened while he was in a coma.) You fed him, rocked him to sleep, and read him that book he loved about the jungle animals. If he gives you any attitude, just start reciting that story — you couldn’t have forgotten it; I know I haven’t. All his primal instincts will kick in, and he’ll be worshiping you again in no time.

Law and Order

I hear my dad declined to prosecute you personally because he was afraid of my giving him hell for it. So you can cross Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), District Attorney, off your list. My mom may be a little tougher. Police officer Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), I’ve heard, is suddenly all about bringing down the mob. I’m afraid she might stop cutting Sonny (Maurice Benard) some slack. And after everything he’s done for her! The last thing we want is for her bad feelings towards him to rub off on you. So if she gives you any trouble, just remind her how you were there for me — and she wasn’t — when I first got my HIV diagnosis. Her quilt will kick in, and she won’t be bothering you anymore either.

Women’s Day

You were such a caring surrogate dad to Michael, I’m sure you’re an amazing father to your actual children. I’m glad Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is giving you access to Jake (Hudson West). She’s a terrific person. I’ve known her since we were kids. And, obviously, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) will be there for you, no matter what. Both of those women loved you once, and they won’t be able to help doing it again. Spend some time with them, and your sons. Carly…Carly may try to sequester you away from them. But that’s not a good idea, Jason. You know what happens when you let her get in your head. Promise me you won’t do anything foolish.
