Ali Wong and Steven Yeun's stellar performances in Netflix and A24's hit series Beef have fans wondering if there's going to be more. But some eagle-eyed fans might know the answer to this if they paid attention while clicking play. Still, this is Hollywood, and anything can happen especially when a show becomes a huge hit. And with multiple days on the Netflix Top 10 and some serious Emmy buzz already starting up for its two leads, there is a chance that something might change for the future of the series.

Here's everything you need to know about Beef season 2.

Wait, isn't Beef a miniseries?

Technically, that's how it started out. Netflix and A24 have promoted Beef as a miniseries, so it makes sense that it would stay that way. In fact, they're even submitting it in the miniseries, anthology, and TV movie category at the Emmys, according to Variety, which kind of further confirms its classification as such.

Does this mean that Beef isn't coming back for a second season?

As we've seen with other shows like The White Lotus and Big Little Lies, there's always a chance that the show can come back for another season even if it was originally created as a limited series. In fact, series creator Lee Sung Jin has opened up about future possibilities for the show.

“I wanted it to have a conclusive feel just in case,” he told Rolling Stone, “but there are a lot of ideas on my end to keep this story going. I think should we be blessed with a Season Two, there’s a lot of ways for Danny and Amy to continue. I have one really big general idea that I can’t really say yet, but I have three seasons mapped out in my head currently.”

But there's also a possibility that the show can continue without Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.

“Cards on the table, we did pitch this show as a limited anthology, so there is sort of a close-ended-ness to the story [of Danny and Amy],” Lee told ELLE. “But, if given the opportunity, of course, I'd love to explore them further, because Danny and Amy, I love those characters. But yeah, by design, though, this a close-ended narrative. I think in my 45-minute PowerPoint there was multiple other beefs and other character types to explore. We’ll see.”

So basically, it's anyone's guess what season 2 is going to be about.

When will we find out if the show will be back?

Netflix often gives shows some time to find an audience to see if they'll bring it back or not. Recently, they've been making decisions after the first two months of a show's release. But that's also not a hard rule, so it's a little hard to predict. But hopefully, it's very soon!
