One Georgia grocery store is going all out to show their support for the Bulldogs this weekend, and if it means a temporary ban on a certain hygiene product, so be it.
In a comical effort to limit the luck of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Dill’s Food City announced that Irish Spring soap won’t be sold in either of its Athens-area stores ahead of Saturday’s hotly anticipated football matchup.
“Sorry Dill’s customers there will be no Irish Spring at our stores this week. Go Dawgs!” the store wrote on Facebook alongside one photo an employee removing the offending soaps, and another of a black-and-white sign proclaiming “Temporarily out of stock” affixed to an empty shelf.
The third-ranked Georgia Bulldogs are set to host the seventh-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a primetime showdown on Saturday at 8pm EST on CBS. The last time the teams met was in 2017, when Georgia defeated the Irish in a victory that helped launch their title run.

We certainly can’t blame Dill’s for not wanting to take any chances. They’re in Dawgs Country, after all!
